Loretta Sheridan, MEng, LC, CCS, CCCA, CDT, MIES, is a highly experienced architectural specification writer with over 20 years of expertise in the A/E/C industry. Based in Boise and Charleston, she is a valued member of the CSHQA team, where she crafts detailed and accurate specifications across a range of project types—from commercial architecture to theatrical lighting and wayfinding systems. Her extensive credentials (including Construction Documents Technologist, Certified Construction Contract Administrator, and Master Specifications Writer designations) reflect her deep technical knowledge and commitment to excellence in construction documentation. My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay focused on your education, work hard, and remain committed to your goals—because a strong foundation and perseverance open doors to lasting success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
While I haven’t encountered major challenges recently, I see tremendous opportunity in leveraging my academic achievements—including my Master of Engineering and Honors Society recognition—to contribute innovative solutions and drive progress in my field.
